"We decided to do a sculpture honouring the original Olympians, and chose Nike, the Goddess of Victory. The original for this sculpture sits in the Louvre, and it was a pleasure to hear passing skiers exclaim, "Wow! I saw that in Paris!"

We were also bombarded with questions about her lack of a head. The Arts Council is planning to install an explanatory sign, which should help the viewing public to understand the piece more."
